The Cyber Security program was introduced in Academic Year 2022 at British Applied College. The curriculum was created with the needs and skill requirements for the next decade in mind, in order to fill the 3.5 million vacant cyber security jobs globally by 2025. The curriculum will provide students with the opportunity to get the necessary soft skills, technical abilities, cyber security implementation skills, and IT management skills. Students will gain the requisite theoretical basis, idea clarity, and insights into the hands-on technical aspects of cyber security, as well as a thorough understanding of analytical methodologies and industrial practices in the sector, through this curriculum. This program will produce next-generation cyber security experts who can work in a variety of industries, businesses, government agencies, financial organizations, and educational institutions.

Cyber Security Laboratory

The Cyber Security Laboratory is a cutting-edge, dedicated room where students can securely engage in cyber-related activities such as malware identification and deactivation, as well as penetration testing, in a limited and regulated setting with no risk of compromising other campus networks.

All Cyber Security students have access to the lab for practical and project work. In addition, while this lab is mostly utilized for teaching, it does provide adequate room for researchers to do research if necessary.

Assessment

Each module is evaluated individually, with some elements of ongoing evaluation in each. Some modules are entirely graded on the basis of coursework.
